Well, Frady got hold of the Mach on the roof of my 23' today, "blows the breaker on restart, needs a new breaker". I told him, that's a new one in there, how's to clip an AmpClamp on it. Up to 38 Amps when the breaker lets go and climbing. So, when the compressor gets hot, it produces a short inside. Rats. Frady had a low profile 13,500. I told him I'd go ten percent over 'net price inmstalled, which he managed to get to. (I include shipping and installation, not just net base price on the net numbers). Promised back tomorrow, cold inside. And my case of Duracool appeared today, so the dash air will be operative Saturday. He asked 2 hours labor to install, I figured that's reasonable. I wouldn't do it in this heat for the same dollar if I had the means, which I don't. Trip to Tejas next week is lookin' more comfortable.
Meantimes, there was a nice looking 26 footer out friont, he said was a Royale the owner is looking to sell, complaint was 'I'm spending too much money on it." rady said he sold it to the current owner 16 years ago. New paint, Alcoas, coach looks good. I think the gent's name was Thornton, but I dunno. At any rate, a call to Frady Sr. at Southlad RV in Buford Ga would probably get the guy's info. My impression was that the gentleman would rather have the shop do whatever than tinker himself. On a GMC, that's gonna be expensive.
