My previously described 1976 Eleganza is for sale - $7500. It runs good.
Email me for more details if you are interested.

Here's a list of things about it:

>Both Roof AC units work
>Dash AC works
>Generator works - even starts from inside the coach. There must be a
loose connection on the panel. Sometimes it won't shut off from inside.
>Air Compressor works DETAILS BELOW
>Brand new stove
>Brand new fridge
>Brand new microwave
The three items above have never been used, or they have been used so
slightly as to look unused

> 6 Alcoa wheels, and Ragusa aluminum step at the door.

>Driver's windshield needs replacing. Passenger side has a few little dings that can be repaired before they turn into cracks

>There is a leak in the plumbing right behind the air compressor compartment wall. I have the compressor disassembled and removed so I can get behind that wall to repair the leak. I plan on doing that one of these mornings when it's cool enough to work inside the coach.

>The dash is shot - the part behind the panel. Right now I have the panel off because the speedo was not working. It was simply unhooked. I suspect that was in an attempt to keep the mileage from raising. It reads around 79k.

>The windshield wiper switch didn't work until I took it out and lubed it. It seems to work now, but I have not re-assembled the dash. My history with luck dictates that when I get the dash all re-assembled with the switch in there, it will quit again.

>The rear section is one big mattress. It's a brand new mattress still in the bag. Right now I have that all disassembled so I can get to the water system. The fresh water tank is full. I need to empty it, but the drain valve is rusted shut.

>Most of the interior lighting works. Not sure if I missed anything here when I checked it out.

>It has headers. I had them wrapped with heat shield. I know some people don't like doing this. It's dry here, so there's no moisture to get trapped between the headers and wrap.

>There is a list of stuff I had done to get it running when I first got it. 2200 dollars worth of engine work to include that header wrap, new ignition module, a freeze plug or two, some other items I can't remember off hand.

>The air bags are not hooked up to the system, but rather are filled manually. They work, and there is an extra one in the coach under one of the seats.

>There is a vacuum cleaning system under one of the seats also. Not sure where it goes.

>It doesn't leak oil.

>I believe all the gauges work.

>All exterior lighting works - turn signals, brake lights, etc.

>Could use a new steering wheel, or a nice cover for the existing one.

>There is no body damage that I can see. The long strip of trim is missing from the driver's side, but it is under one of the seats and just needs to be re-attached.

I have some pictures posted over on the GMC photo site when I get a chance. I'll be happy to take any photos of whatever anyone interested wants to see.

How's the headliner? How old are the tires? Original paint?

With the Alcoa's the price is probably about right (maybe a little low) even with the problems as long as the tires aren't aged out and the headliner and paint aren't too bad.

Darryl,

The headliner looks pretty good. It's got a few small cracks up behind
the sun visors in the cab area where it's plastic, and the rest of the
coach where it's fabric is in good shape. It looks like someone
installed a power vent in the area right behind the cab area, and the
fabric there is a little wrinkled.

The paint is original and in good shape. No body damage that I can find.

The tires have great tread, and there is some dry-rot starting on the
sidewalls. There's a spare that is in good shape.

It's also wired for a CB radio to be put in the armrest on the driver's
side. The antenna is up there in the roof and the coax is run down to
that armrest opening.

Also, the coach was stocked with all sorts of appliances like coffee
maker, blender, umpteen kitchen utensils, cups, plates silverware etc,
all new that my mother-in-law and her late husband put in there when
they first bought it last fall. All that stuff goes with the coach. Not
like that's a huge selling point, but I just wanted to mention it.
