one at a time i plan on raising the rear wheels to spin, listen to and etc,
presently my rear is aired up a little above road height abd schreaders holding,
plan is jack under knuckle with wooden wedge under suspension piece so that one tire raises whilte the other one does not,
am i better off with bags aired up, or lowered?
thanks bgk

Brian,
I air up the bags to max -- put wooden blocks under the bogie and let out the air. Then I use a small bottle jack to raise each swing arm and wheel assembly.
This method allows me to shake the swing arm in and out to check for wear in the bogie pin.

I've got a 13"x3"x3/8" piece of steel that I use for raising the wheels as
you suggest, though I slide that under both suspension arms on top of the
bottom of the bogie (what you're calling the "knuckle", I think). The
curve in that tool says you'd BETTER let the air out!

Ken,
It's OK you can tell people that a dummy from Australia was the one that bent that bar! ;-)
IIRC you also have a bogie box that Double Trouble's PO removed because it was cracked. I'll bet that's because he forgot to let the
air out of the bags and inserted the two THICK aluminum blocks between the bogie arms and the bogie box.

Rob M.
