Where did it go Part II

The car shipper said her car was still at the dock in Portland, and that
they would bring it to North Plains and trade with her. They picked up
the wrongly delivered car, but didn't have anything to trade.
Yesterday, they called and said her car was in Seattle, and would be
delivered today. Today, the called and said it was still in Seattle,
maybe she'd get it tomorrow.
Hmmm, I wonder where it really is.

RonC

My nephew's ex-wife moved to the Aloha, OR area from Alaska. She had her
car shipped; it was supposed to be delivered to my brother-in-law's
house. The shipper called and said it had been in their lot for two
days, why hadn't it been picked up. Brother-in-law said it was supposed
to have been delivered to his address. Shipper agreed to deliver it to
North Plains. They did, we picked it up and drove it home. She drove up
here to return our car and pick up hers.

Her comment, "This isn't my car, where is my car?"
It didn't have any license plates on it, but the plate holder said
somebody or other sales in New York.
Wonder where hers is. Haven't been able to get hold of the shipping
agent, yet.

Shades of UPS.

I still think it is somewhere in AK or it's on way to New York.

Ron,

Peter Bailey down in Adelaide uses a guy that ships cars and car parts out of Seattle for heavy items. I'll give him a call and have
him keep an eye out! ;-)

Rob M.

If you do that, it's liable to wind up in Adelaide -- that probably won't
help!

I sure hope you're wrong, Ken, the car we loaned her is the only one we
have that holds more than 4 people, and we have 6 to transport Saturday.

I also hope I'm wrong.

Isn't it time for the shipping company rent her a car to replace the one they lost. Also you might report it as lost or stolen and get her insurance to rent a car until the original car is found again.

End of the story (with luck)

Faith and Begorrah, it musta been in Seattle. Julie has her car back,
and we have our Chrysler back.
Hurray, we (and our visitors) can all go to the garage sales tomorrow.
Boy, that car shuffler was really ticked. He said he has made two trips
to North Plains and two trips to Seattle, all on his dime. The shipper
hasn't paid him at all, yet.
