I have 7 radial 16.5 inch in Santa Fe if anyone wants them.

They are going to the dump next week if no takers.

I am moving to Colorado and will not haul them there.

The wheels are from a 1977 Kingsley. They are in very good shape. There are no good tires with them.

However I cannot wait until September. We are moving in two or three weeks and the house will be in the hands of a realtor.

I'm going to see if I can sweet talk the wife into making a flying
trip to OKC this weekend, after our 4th of july vacation on the coast.
I wonder if 7 rims will fit in a hatchback Honda FIT? :)

In all seriouslness, what are the dimensions and weight of one of these?

Weight is about 65 pounds of Detroit Steel. If you have a trailer hitch, that would be the easiest way to do it. The Fit interior would be a challenge for 7 of these beasts. Plus driver, passenger and luggage. Wow. Probably be over the GVWR of the Fit by the time you get it all done.

Weight-dne for cargo and passengers in the Fit is 850 pounds. The rims
would be 455 pounds (a number I like, being both a Pontiac and an Olds
engine displacement), but my wife and I would put the car a bit over
the limit, without even any luggage, for which there would be precious
little room. :)

May as well stay with the current plan, which is to get once set of
good rubber on the existing decent rims from the royale, and I can
upgrade to aluminim 16"s in the future. That I will have SHIPPED here.
:)

Guess it's just not yet time to railroad as they say. :)

NO WAY!
I just went out and weighed a GMC steel rim and it weighed 36 pounds.

That would be 252 pounds for 7 of them.

Where did you get 455 pounds? Are you including tires?

I was just going by the 65# figure that Tom threw out. :) Still it would be
a haul on short notice when I've got a lot going on already this month
(redoing floors, trip to the coast vacation, paying off a big debt...)
discretion may be the better part of valor. :)

The cheapest method to ship MIGHT be via Greyhound Bus,
depot to depot (no home delivery).

Charles Wood has six boxes that I believe would hold the
rims and I have another that my XD-775 Rock Star spare
rim came in that I will give him if he wants it. He'd
need to try one of his 16.5 inch rims in one of the boxes
for fit. They ARE heavy, for sure!

Rent the smallest U-Haul trailer available, Robin!
I don't know if renting by the day or a one-way
rental would be the cheaper. Our resident U-Haul
guy could probably give you the info.

Charles lives just about 3 miles from a full
service U-Haul store!
