One of my coach's POs installed a macerator pump, but I'm not sure how to connect a hose up to it. Here's a picture of the connection.

Is something missing?

All that I see missing is the hose. I have the same connector. Go to lumber yard, or some place with farm hoses, and get the fitting that will clamp to that. Put your 10-15 feet of hose on the new fitting and you are ready to go. If you need a picture let me know.

Bryan,

The fitting you have is a male, therefore the female is missing. How's that for demonstrating an acute grasp on the obvious!

Here's a link to what I believe to be these fittings to be from McMaster Carr:

http://www.mcmaster.com/#cam-and-groove-hose-couplings/=i5zd9p

Note that there are plastic and metal fittings, obviously you will need to buy whatever matches the one on your coach.

Regards,
Rob M.

By golly that's almost what I have! I have a female on the coach with the cam-and-groove non-locking. There is a plug (that must have had a knob on it at one time). I installed a cabinet knob with a stainless screw (I'd wager the old screw rusted away, hence no knob) and it sits happily on my rear end.

I have a little piece of hose with the male end and a garden hose fitting so I can attach this to a garden hose and snake it into the garage's old laundry drain.

I've never used the gravity dump. I just found the T-handle for the guillotine valve the other day. I may need to try that one of these days.

Tom Hampton installed my macerator as the old one was pooped-out. I'd half thought to add a switch at the dash so I could unload it going down the road, but that's just not right.

Then again it was good enough for the RailRoads.

This could be a great idea for a defecation alarm system that blows the black water

out of sprinklers for someone trying to break into the gmc. Don't get to close or >>>>>>>>>

Either Tractor Supply Company or Northern Tools, among others, should have
those agricultural QD's.
