G'day,
Avion's have a switch labeled Battery Condition and when you press it one of three bulbs light up under labels that note:
Poor - Fair - Good
How does that work?
Regards,
Rob "electrically challenged" M.

Rob,
I believe this link Ken H posted recently answers it...

Right....
Just what Rob needs. An actual ELECTRONICS schematic diagram... I am fairly sure he can make it out just as well as Egyptian hieroglyphics!
Rob,
It goes of off voltage. Each little light is set to come on at a different voltage. It is very crude and doesn't really tell you very much. While a better meter would tell you more, you still would have to learn how to read it! (As I am not a heavy boon-docker, I am NOT an expert.

Mike,
No worries!
I got the gist of it, there's a bunch of electronic whatchamacallit thingies that make either the red - yellow - or green light come
on depending on how much smoke is in your battery!

Rob M.

I tried joking with my Grandfather about smoke making electronics work.... I think he thought I was serious!

You will find that letting the smoke out also empties the box into which you put money. You must refill the money box before the smoke will return to its habitat.

When you let the smoke out, it no longer works. Therefor, eletricity is smoke based.
