Peter,
I'm sure you'll have lots of responses. I think the consensus here is to use as much steel line as possible, and then where needed use 30R9 fuel injection rated fuel hose. I understand that 30R9 is resistant to the "modern" fuel blend we're stuck with. Goodyear and others make 30R9 fuel hose.

As for the steel line - there has been a lot of positive buzz about Poly-Armour. It's a blend of zinc-steel, copper, and a poly-vinyl-florine coating, and you should be able to find it at any Napa Auto parts store. It's very flexible, but resistant to kinking and can be purchased in 25' coils, or pre-flared sections for brake lines.

If you are staying with a mechanical fuel pump you might consider the insulated fuel line from the pump to the carburetor. Jim K has it <http://appliedgmc.com/prod.itml/icOid/853>
I hope others will fill in specifics, such as what size fuel line to use and how many fee you will need.

I just joint recently as a junior Member.
I want to replace my fuel hoses and replace them with the best product available on the market.
Could anybody tell me what to buy, make, size, length and where I could get a good price? I sure would appreciate your help. Thank you.

Peter,
Welcome to the group/family/cult/asylum....
The good setup for fuel line seems to be Gates Barrier hose. No matter what anybody tells you, there are only two flexible hose types to use. By SAE specification they are J30R14(T1)[a 50 psi hose for carburetor engines] and J30R9 [a 180 psi hose for fuel injected engines]. These may be available from other suppliers, but NAPA has them as H313 = 3/8, H312 = 5/16 and H311 = 1/4. Price is a nice thing, but if you can't find the J30R14 spec don't go for other. If I was caught up with my filing (Right!!) I could get you prices, but I have a special account at NAPA so you might not get that price. If you have a AAA card, many NAPA give a break on that - ask even if you don't have - a friend does and gets the AAA break and they have never asked to see his card.
You will need three sizes: ~8' of 1/4 for the APU feed from the main (rear) tank, Maybe 20' of 5/16 for the vapor vent to go from both tanks to the vapor valve in the left rear wheel well and then forward to the carbon cans, and, I have no clue how much 3/8 for the the fuel lines to the selector valve, from the selector to the engine line and both fill vent that come out to a T in the port side frame rail. That will need some 1/2, but there again I can be no help as I rerigged to separate fill vents almost to the fill.
Unfortunately, I can't tell you how much because I just went and changed everything except the little that has to connect to hose barb parts to steel line (PolyArmour actually).
I did mine, but I am not sure that I would recommend doing the job I did. Changing all the hidden lines to steel might be considered.

Matt,
Below are links to fuel hose made by Gates and Goodyear. I believe the Gates Barricade is probably the best one.
SAE J30R14(T1): http://newsletters.gatesprograms.com/assets/Barricade_Combined_Brochure.v7.pdf
SAE J30R9: http://www.goodyearep.com/ProductsDetail.aspx?id=5144
SAE 30R7: http://www.goodyearep.com/ProductsDetail.aspx?id=17820
The reason I listed SAE 30R7 is that's what I replaced the fuel lines in Double Trouble with three years ago and as of last year no
leaks. I intend to drop the tanks and follow your lead and replace as much as possible with Poly Armor and braided stainless steel
flex lines. It may have been a lot of work but from where I sit YOU'RE DONE!
Regards,
Rob M.
