RE fresh air hose. I use a aluminum flex hose for a clothes dryer outlet
bought at a hardware store on my 78 Palm Beach. Works well for less than
$10. George Wood

Ken,
I think the 4" hose is the one that Bob Drews recommended.

I think that is the day they put all the stuff they didn't want back in
the box and return it to the store for a refund? I used to think it was
a prize fight.

George,

If the aluminum hose, or any other, works well for you, great! In my case,
perhaps because I tinker too much, it was totally unsatisfactory: It was
too fragile. It was easily bent out of shape when routing it into position
or moving it for servicing other items. Worse, it would not stay attached
to the air cleaner inlet and attempts to fasten it there caused the very
thin AL to tear.

The heavy duty rubber/fabric hose is impervious to 'most any mistreatment.
At less than twice the cost of the AL version, it will outlast 10+ of them.
