Who has installed new fireproof and insulation in the Generator compartment? I"m looking for a concensus on whats best as I am afraid to run it with the compartment door closed. the origional stuff is in pretty bad shape. The solid state ignition conversion has made it run very well. Thanks Ken for the great pictures of your installation on the photosite. Thats 2 I owe you. The airbrake I built for the toad has also worked out great, however it cost me a lot more than $30.00. Just put a 10 in front of that 30 and multiply. Still cheaper than those 1000.00 dollar dealer units..

I'm looking into foil faced ceramic made for wrapping chimney flues. 1/2 thick by 24" wide by 25 feet long about $120.

Ken, the scap prices being paid for steel (so it can be shipped to china for reprocessing) would make that chunk to valuable to be used for a toad brake.. Very Happy Got to agree with your engineering though. That is a true proportional system and a bargain with the right momentum generator!!

Lynn,

There are alternatives. I'd planned to use a concrete block, but didn't
have one & was too cheeep to buy one. I haven't checked those prices
recently. Might have to use a box of dirt. :-)
