Gad! I've been a busy boy.
Replaced the front disc pads today, and will test drive tomorrow.
But I noticed that on the right hub there was some over spray from when the coach was converted from Palm Beach to Montana. There was also some over spray on the mountings of the outboard pad.
I'm thinking them suckers may be originals!
And they were riveted on, not glued.
And I have about 115K on the clock.
The left side pads were pretty much worn away, but the right side still had a bunch of miles left on them.
Now, this has me wondering about the rears; if they're originals, should I just change what needs changing (shoes, springs, hoses), or do I think about conversion. And if I do that; convert one set to discs (the centers) or both?
I think I'll go work on the Spitfire for a week or two; it just needs the seats re-upholstered. And I have most of that.
