The following is the reply from Digi-Devices answering my query
to them regarding RF Interference (RFI) to the Digi-Panels.

I'm ready to "pull the trigger" and, as I think Dan Gregg said,
just not worry about the unit alarming while I may be talking
if the RFI reduction techniques by Johnny Bridges don't fix it.

I'm unsure what the difference between the standard unit (DP-104)
at $214.94 list and the "GMC" unit (DP-104J) at 209.95 is. I think
Rob can explain that!

I know that I will need the extended harness at $5 for mounting
on the dash, RV battery monitoring at $15, and engine oil temp
at $27.50 in addition to the regular charges.

Hi Mac-

Yes, the integrated circuits we use are very high speed,
and can be affected by ham radio.

We've never had a Digi-Panel harmed by it - they just go
crazy while the signal is hitting it.

We have rf filters built in, but they can only do so much.

Best wishes. Art Woodell

Subject: RF Interference to the Digi-Panel

I have heard several reports that the Digi-Panel is severely
affected by signals radiated by ham radio transmitters in
the range from 3 through 450 Megahertz.

Are there any (specific or otherwise) recommendations
on methods to combat this effect?

Many of the folks in the GMC Motorhome group are also
ham radio operators and would appreciate any information
or advice you can provide on this matter.

Sincerely yours,

Mac,

The DP-104 requires a separate oil pressure transducer. . I do not know if the DP-104 comes with the transducer or not, however,
I'll find out.

The DP-104J uses a piggy back spade connector on the OEM oil pressure transducer so the DP and the OEM GMC oil pressure gauge can be
connected. If you connect a DP-104J to a OEM GMC pressure transducer without the OEM gauge connected it will NOT work. Been there
done that!

I intend to order a DP-104 and "T" in a separate oil pressure transducer as that way I will have a redundant oil pressure system
that won't be affected by problems with the OEM transducer or gauge.

Regards,
Rob M.
