Hi all, I have to replace the push reset breaker on my 6kw Onan. The problem is that breaker totally disintegrated and I have no idea the amp value. I am guessing it is a 50 amp, but don't know for sure. Anyone have that info? It is on a 75 Palm Beach. Thanks

Thank you for the info... I have installed a new push button breaker (50 amp) for now with the intention of upgrading to an industrial 50 amp breaker in the near future. Nice to know that my memory served me well and I had the right breaker on hand. Thanks again!

I bought a new breaker some time ago when I was troubleshooting the Onan - no juice coming out of the beast. Y’all on the net shouted “BRIDGE RECTIFIER” and so, after collecting too many parts I replace the bridge rectifier and all was well.

Here are two pictures of the uninstalled breaker.

I have no idea where I bought it, but a quick google search shows a similar one for $6.97. Look about 2/3rds of the way down the page.

For trouble shooting and maintenance reasons, I personally like to have a breaker that can be manually tripped. The switch will come in handy when I install the automatic transfer switch that I have in a box around here... somewhere.

They make "switch" type breakers and ones with "pull out buttons." They do cost a little more than the "press to reset" type.
