Once a year the LeMay museum is open to the public. Should you decide to go you are welcome to park at my place......Terry

PS the museum downtown is the typical government shake-down. LeMay donated some cars and "they" started selling them.

Hey Terry;

I can't seem to find the dates for this. We will be coming through
Tacoma around the 6th of July, and this looks like it would be an
interesting place to visit. Not very interested in the government
museum, but the other one looks pretty interesting. Any idea what the
dates are for the once a year viewing? Thanks.

The grand opening was on June 2nd. The museum is open seven days a week with admission fee. See: http://www.lemaymuseum.org/page.php?id=18.

Hey Randy;

Thanks for the response. I'm confused however. Are there 2 museums?

Gary,
As I understand it the museum in downtown Tacoma is a new venue. There is also property out near Terry's that is used as a storage and holding area. In the past this was where the auction of the carcasses and not so collectable units was held. I believe the auction of the real collectables is a black-tie affair. Terry needs to chime in here with the facts. He has a friend that runs the shop at the trade school that works on some of the restorations. Terry??
