Did I read that Jim K will soon have the reaction arm for drum brakes?

This might bring it into my price range and then I won’t feel bad about installing the Branscome parking brake kit.

Of course I first have to do the exhaust pipe, air conditioning mod, interior ceiling, clearance lights, window rubbers...

Larry,
This unit was done by a person that has experience in designing
various mechanical devices.
I'm sure we can see others copying it .

Larry, once upon a time I too was interested in having a reaction arm for the rear drum brakes. Let me suggest something: Save your money and put discs on the rear. This is an unbelievable improvement in braking power for the GMC. Once I thought I had some really great brakes, WRONG. Adding discs to the rear is one great improvment in stopping power. Then, if you feel the need, add the reaction arm like we have, and Jim sells. I got so sick of trying to keep the rear drums adjusted. Now, Teri and I can pull the wheels ourselves and swap out the pads, in a short time. No more leaking wheel cylinders to worry with or backing up, just hoping the adjusters will work. I realize many folks like the drums but as you can see, I ain't one of them. I recently installed discs on the vdub too.
The one ton frontend, with the larger diameter discs, don't hurt one bit either. No more anticipating my stops from a quarter mile back.
