Mike mentioned his blog and so I started poking around. It's amazing how much browsing I can do when I have a tedious task on my plate...

I saw his Honda seat and new steering wheel and started looking for that vendor in the Phoenix area on Craigslist that sells the Honda seats. I found it and contacted them to see if they were the ones who ship - yup, an extra $75 per seat. Not a bad deal - $100 for the seat and $75 for shipping.

Here is their ad < http://phoenix.craigslist.org/nph/ptd/2964608979.html >

Damira Ivanovich responded and her (his?) email address is in the Craigslist post if you are interested.

I believe this is the same guy that Chr$ hooked everyone up with a few years ago. He runs a Craig's List ad on the Tucson list too.

Something to watch for:

I understand the seats have changed in the last few years. The latest seats are not desirable as they only have one arm rest. I also understand that the early seats (earlier than mine) have built in cup holders in the side.

Make sure you are getting what you are thinking they are -- before paying shipping.

Generally the cloth seats had cup holders and the leather didn't. Usually the Chrysler seats had the cloth/cupholders while the Honda seats were the leather ones. Both seats were virtually the same and were made by Johnson Controls. These are going to be difficult to find since the Chrysler seats have changed and are very uncomfortable. One of the two conversion companies still converts used vans so there may be some desireable ones available occasionally.

I have an extra Grey Set leftover from the initial buy. They are available.

I may have a tan set to sell too. I don't use them and may take them out of the coach. They would include the Conversion Van easy-in-and-out bases. CUrrently the plan is to keep them as an option, but if they end up being used like the extra buckets in my 95 Trans-Sport, they will gather dust in the garage.

Someone mentioned Greyhound is the best method to ship. I'd bolt them to a sheet of plywood with handles and stretch-wrap to ship.

Another note, the seller with the eastern european looking name is not the one we bought the bulk from. They may be the "other" people who I bought a set from, a set with two left seats!!! The other couple swapped one out for me, but I think they are out of it now.

The house looks way different.

Chris, I'd be interested in the tan ones. No hurry, just starting interior.

The photo he sent to me looked good.
I couldn't resist and bought a pair in the Tan/Leather.
He said they were Odyssey seats with 1 arm rest.
I don't use the arm rests often.

Regards,
Bill
