we shorted out the wireharness behind dash--found a person who will come repair it,CLIFF SEWELL/FROM HOSFORD, FLA SO I GUESS WE START NEXT WEEK-couldn`t sell it broken,,then it goes back on craigslist----

This sounds like the nichrome wire overheating. If it is, then you had better check out the alternator and put on an APC before you start the engine again.
