That depends on the system on your particular coach. I have a late 78 with the Electrolevel II system which is slower to air up than the earlier coaches. From full down to full up I'm estimating close to 2 minutes. From full up to full down is about 1 minute or a bit less.

You may be timing from a dead empty -- on an original configured 73, filling your reservoir tank plus the air bags -- 5-7 is not unrealistic. 15 -- may be time to rebuild the air compressor or fix leaks. But someone may have replaced your compressor with a small unit. Without knowing what you actually have there is not a right answer.

Sounds like a bad pump or very leaky tubes/fittings to me!
Sully (of Sullybilt airbag conversion fame) uses a spray
bottle filled with soapy water to find leaks.

Your system is tired. That is one area you will want to update. I use the Quadra bags with two pumps. I can run mine up from 20 pounds to ride height in a minute and 20 seconds. If my air tank is full I can do it quicker.

I think Dennis' number a pretty accurate for a OEM pump on an early coach.
With a pair of new, small compressors and I can go from dead empty to
70# (where my 230 travels) in about 3 minutes. Less than 4 minutes for
sure.

15 minutes means a pretty tired pump. I've been there...

Riley,

Rebuild or replace the pump. That is rediculous, but common for a coach with a bad pump.

JumK can sell you a rebuild kit.
