Dan,
When I go shopping in my 75 Vete or 78 Volkswagen contvertible ,I park
away from the other Cars .when I go to leave, there will be a car on either
side of me and usually one in front. I just don't understand it.
Are they saying I'll show him ?

Maybe they are protecting "you" from shopping carts.
Maybe.
Could happen.
Most likely not.
They just wanted to take a look at your car before going in to the store.
