FIX YOUR "BLEEPING" SIGNAL LIGHTS

and (DIY) do it yourself

http://www.gmcidiotsguide.com/joomla/my-shop/category/16-headlight-turn-signal-reminder-alarms

HEAD LIGHTS
i know 3 GMCers last year who left their headlights on , and ran down the
starter battery (and one last month)
these sounders will stop that.

TURN SIGNALS
(Not me - but) some GMCers do not hear as well as they used to, and go down
the road flashing.
these sounders will stop that

believe me, it is worth it, to buy the kits with the right connectors, and
install instructions, from Bovee.
" one of life's little hurtles we have to get over"

and
while you are there,

we do not read much about squeaking GMC belts, any more. That is because
we found our belts were too loose
http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/photos/data/5950/GMC_BELTS_WILL_NOT_LET_YOU_DOWN.pdf

so buy Bovee's tensioners also, it is a clear DIY solution.
http://www.gmcidiotsguide.com/joomla/my-shop

it is nice to have a vendor fixing the "little things in, GMC, life"

I have been using them since the late 60's. I use to use Sonalerts. I had Arch go get beepers from Radio Shack. I used a Radio Shack one in my GMC. Now that I can't hear, the Radio Shack ones any more, I need to go back and replace it with a Sonalert.

I have had a Sonalert on my airplane master switch since about 1975 and I hasd one on my 1965 Chevy convertible which is long before Al G. invented the Internet.

I highly recommend them for headlight and turn signal alarms. It is worth the $5.00 that they cost from Radio Shack. I do not know what Sonalerts cost. I always got mine out of IBM machines. I'll bet Digikey, Mouser, and ebay have them. They are made by Mallory. I suggest you get the lower frequency one so when your hearing starts to go you can still hear them.

Ken,

Maybe you could get a Nathan Airchime. I have though about that as a turn signal reminder, but Mary can still hear.

Actually a have a free two function one. It sits in the right seat and says "Ken your turn signal is on", or is says "Ken, you left the head lights on".

"Free" ?????? That signal reminder may be the greatest thing in your life and you would never trade it for another model, and may be a great value, but I bet it was nowhere close to "free". <GRIN>
