How is theGMC ladder attached?
Ours has never had a ladder.
Screw nuts?

Sheet metal screws driven into the rear smc panel. Not much rhyme or reason to the screw placement. Bad design. I bonded pieces of polycarbonate to the back of the panel where the ladder mounts so the screws have something to grab onto and also seal the screw hole. I will try and isolate the photos and send you a link. The interior panels should be removed for install.
