so we were trying to start the 73, and smoke came rolling from under dash----the fuseable link didn`t work to well, it did blow,but not before it opned the harness up behind glovebox----at least the insurance co is comming to look at it to see how bad it is,-----my irish luck is holding true------

It sounds to much like a nichrome wire problem...
