The furnace in my 1976 Palm Beach seems to have a hard time staying on. When I hold in the reset button it starts, but will sometimes shut off as soon as I release it, or sometimes keep running until the thermostat is satisfied. As soon as we need heat again, I have to go through the process all over again-not much fun at 3:00am. Everything seems to check out ok - exchanger is good, blower is good. The relay just seems to be worn out. I'd rather change the relay than the whole furnace. Any suggestions as to whether that's feasible and where to get the parts?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sir: I kinda had a simular issue with my 76. It would also roar when the burner first fired up. I read the manual and Gene Barrow and I adjusted the air ratio to get a blue sharp flame and all seems OK now. It still roars a little on initial start up so I`m thinkin my burner oriface is worn???
Don`t know where to get parts..
