This maybe old news but while surfing around the GMC sites a month ago or so, I noticed the Caspro site (www.casprogmc.net) is no longer available.

Either they haven't bothered to renew their website or closed operations.

Anyone know the scoop?

always tough to be first

1 super drive ( prob the best tranny- final solution going)
2 more 4 baggers out there, than quadra bags (the new version)
3 actually works on GMCs
4 shocks that worked before the current versions

Most of our vendors want to get paid for their specialties.....
and
you do not have to by from them
but
it is good to understand them

without our vendors, we do not exist

Just after getting my coach in late 2010 I ordered the special-key locks for the battery and propane compartments that Caspro carried. He was the only vendor that I could find with such a thing. Thought it was a great idea, clever, inexpensive, effective.
In my communication with them, always on the phone since email didn't get through, he was totally congenial both times I talked to him, and no question in my mind as to his sincerity and integrity. But his voice was consistent with an 80 yr-old, and even 18mo ago his website didn't look like it had been updated for years. I concluded it was a one-geriatric-man operation, and maybe the high tech of email and websites just wasn't in his comfort zone and skill level.
When I finally got around to installing the locks, some 6-mo later, I had a problem and couldn't find the second key. Didn't need it, except for a spare, but wanted it, so called again. Explained that I figured I'd lost it, since two had been ordered, and asked how I could order another for having lost one. He insisted on sending me a second key, free including shipping.
I sure felt like I got great service in spite of the lack of email response.
YMMV

I had a full set after reading the article in GMCMI that really talked them up. After 2years of lite summer rally use DS started leaking black hydrolic fluid. Called and it took many calls, He wanted to see leaker, sent it to him and the calling many times to get his results. He said nothing wrong, I assumed he would send the shock back,
NOT! sent him numerous e-mails and tried calling, never got that shock back, had to replace with KYB.

If you use them, you soon have no shocks. And since everything
Chuck sells
is perfect and good forever, there is no warranty cause you must
have screwed
them up. This gets old after a while.

Gary,

A few years ago I bought a water pump from Chuck Stoddard. When I started to install it, I found the impellor stuck out about a quarter of an inch past the water pump housing. I thought maybe it would go in when I bolted it up but the pump still lacked a quarter of an inch touching the engine and I couldn't tighten it any more. I called Chuck and told him the problem and he told me I was mistaken because that couldn't happen. I argued with him but he insisted his rebuilder would never do that. He said put a straight edge on the impellor and I would see that it was OK. I told him I did and there was a gap between the housing and the straight edge and it was a quarter of an inch. He thought a while and said he would send one down to me special delivery. I guess that was the only mistake he ever made in his life.

It wasn't just the shock warranty that happened on.
