Greetings,
I installed a new black waste tank I bought from Jim K, and I need to install a sending unit that will work with the panel inside to get a reading of the level on the panel inside. The PO installed a sensor back in the mid 90's that has two wires that run from a module that attaches to the side of the tank, and has two wires that are adhered to the tank with what looks like a copper tape that seems to be conductive and reads what the level is inside the tank. There are 3 wires on the flat plug that hooks up to the sensor and runs to the panel inside that when you press on the button reads E - 1/4 - 1/2 - 3/4 & Full.
The tank on the other hand has a series of 5 sensors that needs what looks like 5 individual wires that attach to separate wires that attach to a loom that runs to the panel. Like I said before there are only three wires on the loom that runs to the panel on my 78 Royale w/ a center kitchen.
Does anyone know how I either hook up the existing 3 wired sensor or convert back to the 5 lead loom?
Sorry about the long drawn out post, but I'm trying to explain this the best I can.
Thanks,
