They are readliy available under several different part numbers based more on differences in packaging. I don't have the number here, but did you check Gene Fisher's site or do a search--it comes up regularly so you should be able to find a thread.

Can you actually siphon gas out of a GMC? Making that last turn into
one of the tanks would be a trick.

According to the parts interchange catalog, the STANT number for 73 through 74
is 11571, for 75 through 78 it is G-807.

I always wondered about that. I suppose everything is flat enough that there may quite a bit of fuel in the line, but it sounds like there may be easier candidates to steal from.

Around here, they just knock a hole in your tank and try to catch it in a bucket.

As Gomer Pyle would have said, "S'prize, s'prize!"

However, with noticably different tank materials,
I suspect that it is unlikely.

true they are different tank materials...and....on most Rv's there are 2 holding tanks and 1 gas tank Smile Smile
I thought about getting a locking cap but then figured that they would just punch a hole in the tanks when they did not have enough hose with them.

the only thing the locking cap would do is keep people from putting stuff that did not belong. like sugar or crab apples. kids are most likely to do the apple thing and well the filler hole is too high. If someone is putting sugar in then they have a grudge and will be looking at doing lots of different things. not really on my radar of things to replace. or upgrade. maybe once I replace everything else I will do that.

When my GMC is parked it is with the bags deflated and resting on 4" blocks.
That thang is lower-n a snakes belly.
I'd like to see them get at the tanks...

and I have 4 tanks to choose from, 50 50 chance of getting gas, and considering the gas tanks are in the middle of the coach, I'm not too concerned.

I have a lock on the door rather than a locking cap. It is easy to install. All you heed is a drill and a Dremmel tool.

If they are stealing by knocking a hole in the side must be catching it in a dishpan, sometimes on mine that would be a cookie sheet, depends on if I remember to close the valves at the airbags. Just wanted the locking cap while it was in the yard to keep unwanted elements out of the tank.

Bob Burkitt also has one on his coach. Just drill a hole, mount the lock, Cut a slot in the plastic for the lock arm to slide in to and you are done. It is a simple 1/2 hour project.

Here is the type of lock we are talking about. Mine has a nut on the back side mounting it to the door rather than the flat metal clip in the picture.

Wouldn't that be a hoot if they hit the wrong tank!!!

Rather than a locking gas cap, why nat make a couple of labels-

"UNLEADED FUEL ONLY" - put it on the water tank (only becasue there is no easy filler for the black tank.

And a second one, "POTABLE WATER" and put it on the Fuel tank.

THat should protect your fuel and/or provide a good laugh.

Unless you go to Oregon or another state that has pump attendants. Then they will fill your water tank with gasoline.
