Need to adjust my ride height. the front end of my GMC is riding way high.
I really do not want to have to purchase a torsion bar tool. but it is looking like I should probably do that. but if there is anybody in MN that might want to guide me, I would be open for some help on this.

I have a home made one that I've used.
I live in Mounds View, MN, basically I35W and I694, well a couple of miles north.
Youre welcome to borrow it, or come by and we can do it together

Hi I have used a different method to adjust the porkchop bolt.
I take a short bottle jack and put a 1/2 inch X 2 1/2 bolt. You can position it so the bolt sits in the dimple of the porkchop and jack it up to take the seight of most of the pchop. This will take most of the stress off the adjusting bilt and let you adjust as needed.
This works for me without all the tooling needed. The bolt fits between the rear brace and up into the dimple.
Try it you'll like it, Tim

The 1974 maintenance manual recommends raising both front wheels off the ground and then making the adjustments. It takes a good portion of the torque off the rods doing this. Adjust using 6 turns per inch or a fraction as needed. I have done this method on my 1974 for over 30 years and never had a problem.

to a newbie this is cosmic outer space, is the bolt welded to the jack
i am still in the boondocks on the pork chop, it is the arm on what, that does what, where. if you have the time
it sounds hard to explain unless there is photos or live. I will find out when it goes wrong. THe adjustment for
height is the arm above the front side of the air bag i think, i am not sure how the air pump knows how to
level it must be a water trigger or something to keep level, I have an air leak that makes my pump go on
every 30 minutes or so. but i put valves on the bags i personally ordered it from Jim K. so they stay the same
since i left miguels. I did have my blue air pump checked by John near me and it does 120 pounds in
50 seconds so it is good. M. told me it was tired. John states on his test bench it is better than new.
I still have my new electric gas pump on the front of my front frame next to the muffler and motor on the passenger side.
I need to have this redone somewhere, find the air leak must be a hose by using soap and water spray.
my onan does not start, i was told out of the 3k i spent with no receipt that it was started but no dice.
I cannot get it to slide out, it is stuck somehow and will not start but turns over well. I need someone else
to go to in my area by Anaheim. Any body no anyone else to go to that is in my area. thank you mickey
any help on these would be with unending gratitude. I made a mistake when i signed up i think and use another
email address and cannot start a thread, for my mailing email is different than my sending so i need to fix this some time as well.
This is why i get off topic at times. sorry, thank you for this list whom ever started it, it is a great design for all of us, and all the great
people that keep it alive and the mannies and the jims etc. I hope someday to go to one of these camps and get in a fight. mick
i mean insight. I love to stalk i mean talk.
