Well I am starting to liquidate alot of my GMC extra parts that I have accumulated over the years.

I have 2 of the Thomas Air Compressors Model 317 that I but from Scott Nehoda at Adhoen supply. they are both brand new in the original packaging.

I opened one up to take pictures for EBay. Not sure of their retail worth but I would like to get $120 for each if that is not to much.

I will be posting them on EBay and also be listing all my GMC parts and two GMC Transmodes that have to be gone ASAP.

I have dropped off the mailing list so fi you need to contact me I am at

Marcus,

You didn't say where you are. Looked at some of your old messages, are you still in Upstate NY?

Earlier this month while discussing this topic, someone posted that Emery had produced a drawing or schematic on how to use this compressor to handle both the filling of the air bags and providing vacuum for the power brakes. Can anyone remember how to find emery's documentation? I tried to search but it didn't work for me.
Thanks,
Bob

Bob,

I don't remember Emery ever proposing such a solution, but IIRC, Dave
Mumert posted such a schematic several years ago.

Hi All

Just because it can be done does not mean it should be done. That diagram
was posted to settle a discussion about using the compressor for dual
service. There were a number of strong opinions that it could not be done.

I would not recommend doing this for something as important as brakes, but I
thought the drawing would get me an 'Atta Boy' from Rube Goldberg.

I found the diagram and schematic by Dave Mumert. My question was has anyone actually don the install and if so, how does it work. If now one has tried it yet then I would become the guinea pig

Thanks Dave,

If I feel like it when I get to the "compressor" part of my rehab, I just may have to try it. Could be a year or two. There is so much to do I put shrader on the bogies so I can deal with it later.
