I am trying to remove my black tank.....from my kitchen sink goes a black abs that enters the black tank in the dana cupboare.....here... there is a metal ring screwed to the floor.....the black connector enters a white connector of some kind then dissapears below the floor....some of the screws of the metal ring are under the front of the cabonet and not accessible.....there is no threaded connector.......thanks brian....77 elegansa 455

OK...this is what I got.....I could not find this album......it appears the white adapter is not screwed or glued to the black abs, but is a friction fit with some sealanyt around it....if that is the caqe I will destroy the metal ring and use emery's approach....thanks brian....77 ele 455

That metal ring is the same thing used for the trap under your kitchen sink at home

It uses a nylon or rubber ring to clamp down on the pipe.

Not a good design where corrosive sewage is involved.

My design for a replacement allows some flexing and seals great.

I used a similar design for the connection to the tank for the bathroom sink and shower connection. We did Gene Fishers as well and he has pictures on his site.
