Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the 120 VAC system in a 23 ft coach? I have Norris built Transmode, but any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have a possible a cross wiring issue, since two separate breakers turn off one circuit. I am tying to make each breaker respond to one branch circuit only.
Thank you,

Thank you Dennis, I have checked all the diagrams, but they do not show the fuse box which is installed in my coach. Norris must have a proprietary wiring style and parts, since the Coachman 23 ft. does not match.

Johnny Bridges has a Norris 23 ft -- perhaps he will be along shortly and can offer more help.

I will add Norris to the title to see if it draws more attention.

Thank you,

Nick,

Please describe you situation in more detail.
Specific questions:
Is the coach 30A (120V - 3 pin plug) or 50A (240V - 4 pin plug) feed?
Will opening either breaker shut down the branch?
Or
Do both have to be open to shut down the branch?

=> If it is the former and the coach is 30A, then it is possible that one of those breakers is actually being fed backwards and is the main.

If it is the later, then a PO inadvertently combined the circuits - probably at a duplex receptacle. This happened in my house and it only took years to locate the problem.

GMC fit coaches were all shipped with 50A feed so the published diagrams may be of little value to you.

Does it look like this?
http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/photos/showphoto.php?photo=35378&title=new-converter&cat=5571
Mine is set up for one circuit for ac/water heater the other is for the 120 volt plugs.

Thank you Charles, that looks like my breaker box. After six hours of tracing-fixing-rerouting and just plain PITA work in the confined space under the sink, I have found:
1-they use one leg of the dual breaker as the Master house switch
2-the other side feeds the whole house 120V
3-the single large one feeds the refer compartment outlet
I have now installed another breaker box for:
A-the Main cutoff breaker 20A
B-water heater breaker 20A
Replaced the large single breaker with a dual and separated the circuits into:
1-front of coach loop 20A
2-A/C loop 20A
3-refer loop 20A
4-ice maker circuit 20A
This will let me service the 120V system in case of failure or short without the old nightmare of the all in one circuits.
Thanks to all for your help and info,

I think I have the mate to yuor coach.  Coachman bought Norris, and they won't even answer emails.  Mine - which I >think< is original except the genset itself - has a master breaker in the panerl, and two others.  One is marked "Air conditioner/water heater" and the other is marked "Convenience outlets.  Besuide the breaker box is a wall switch which runs the power from the breaker box either to the A/C on the roof or the hot water heater under the couch by the door.

In the lower cabuinet in teh bathroom is another wall switch which selects either shore power or genwerator power.

Is it possible a PO wanted both water heater and A/C at once, and did some cross wiring?

I replied this morning - been opff at a show.  I think mine's original, and given the way Norris did it, I can see where some PO might have done some inspired rewiring.
