I've put in a new water pump, hoses and checked the fresh water tank for
leaks on my 77 Kingsley...all good, only now the dry rotted inlet to the
exterior fill has a leak somewhere, gonna replace it.
My question is how long is that hose? I want to attatch the new one to the
old, as I pull it out the inlet...or doesn't it work like wireing?
Any suggestions?

In the rear tank configuration, you have to remove a lot of panels to get
to the fill hose, it was 8 ft long, camping world sells the right hose at
10 ft for 21 dollars. Just in case anyone needs to know. almost ready
for dry camping.

That hose is commonly used for above ground swimming pools do you might find it a bit cheaper at places that sell pools.

I'm not sure which "inlet" is being discussed here, tank fill or city water.
If it is "city water" inlet, I highly recommend you replace the fill inlet
with a new pressure regulating inlet for increased safety! This will save
the hassle of adding a separate regulator up every time you hook up. My
guess would be that Defender may have lower prices than some other stores.
I imagine that RV supply places have them, but if not, just about any boat
equipment supplier/chandlery carries them.
