The first convention we attended I realized something. It is not about the coaches, so much, but people enjoying each other's company. The GMC motorhome brings us together so we can find out more about the owners and become friends. Oh, I want to see your coach but remember, I have one just like your's. Tell me about your familiy and what you have done to support yourself, stuff like that.
This morning we sent Peter and Kay on east to visit the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green. From there they will head south, along the Mississippi river to New Orleans, then over to Houston. What a pleasant couple from Australia. Teri and I met them in Pueblo, 09, but had little time for visiting. This year I nabbed them, forced them to stop and spend the night with us. Our daughter had to bring the 4 kids over to visit also. Lots of questions for Peter and Kay from kids 8 yr old and younger. "Tell me about those Dingo Dogs", as an example.
Time was short and they are gone now, but they made our life better for stopping to see us. Little GMC talk.
So, if you find out they are near by, hollar at them to stop by. You will be glad you did.
