The first convention we attended I realized something. It is not about the coaches, so much, but people enjoying each other's company. The GMC motorhome brings us together so we can find out more about the owners and become friends. Oh, I want to see your coach but remember, I have one just like your's. Tell me about your familiy and what you have done to support yourself, stuff like that.
This morning we sent Peter and Kay on east to visit the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green. From there they will head south, along the Mississippi river to New Orleans, then over to Houston. What a pleasant couple from Australia. Teri and I met them in Pueblo, 09, but had little time for visiting. This year I nabbed them, forced them to stop and spend the night with us. Our daughter had to bring the 4 kids over to visit also. Lots of questions for Peter and Kay from kids 8 yr old and younger. "Tell me about those Dingo Dogs", as an example.
Time was short and they are gone now, but they made our life better for stopping to see us. Little GMC talk.
So, if you find out they are near by, hollar at them to stop by. You will be glad you did.

Dan and Teri;
Life is best when you know you have Eternal Life.

I am working on details for the Across Canada rolling rally starting with a
Cascaders White Rock, BC Rally August 2 to 6th. This will be Dry Camping
on a park like setting with so much to enjoy in the Metro Vancouver Area.
For those who want to arrive earlier there is the opportunity to tour parts
of Vancouver Island. From White Rock we will tour through Whistler, Fraser
Valley, Okanagan Valley, Canadian Rockies (Lake Louise, Banff, Ice Fields,
Jasper) then on to Ontario where a few days at Dick Pattersons. Niagara
Falls, Ottawa, Quebec City, then met by several GMC'rs in The Maritimes who
will host us and help us enjoy the Eastern Provinces. From there we head
into the States - I want to see the Amish region. Then head to Galviston
Texas by October 6th. We plan on taking a 7 day cruise out of there to
celebrate Sharon's (30th with 40 years experience)(now I am in trouble)
from there to Phoenix ( we have friends there to visit) then head towards
home. Several have emailed saying they are interested in joining in all
and some in part. I will have a full schedule available. We would love to
meet as many GMCr's along the way as is possible and to hear back from
those with recommendations of MUST SEE places.
Both DJ Eberhard and Jim Hupy are planning the trip across Canada. So
having 2 very experts along adds a comfort level to this.

Best regards

We are located where I-57, I-55, and US 60 come together, just 20 miles west. I can put 2-3 coaches in my driveway. Can dry camp several in our church parking lot.

Dwayne;
There are Amish? Mennonites around Kitchener, Ontario. They make some very nice wood furniture there.
Also, in Pennsylvania, around Lancaster there are Amish. I have been there. Visit Intercourse while there. Just east of Lancaster. Get the T-shirt....

IF you use the web based forum, there is a "rate" function.

I do. It still would be nice to just click on "like" once in a while. Smile

We will be camping near Stratford Ont. and will make a stop in St. Jacob's.
We get out there a lot, have a daughter and her family living in Kitchener.
Thank you.
