Hi All,
Sunday at noon we got home from Shawnee. The trip had a difficult start. The oil leak was still there, although it was much less. We had to stop to tighten the alternator pulley, (the guys at Napa didn’t do a very good job changing it) than we had a mysterious misalignment problem with the starter, which we fixed with the help of Hal Kading, we got up to the NM state line. Next day, with strong head wind, we made it home.
The time I didn’t spend under the coach (not all that much) I got to meet a lot of guys I have been emailing with for the last 8 years or so. I really enjoyed the tech sessions and the social events!
Thanks to all who helped me with my problems, it was really appreciated, and thank you Hal and Carl for keeping an eye on me during the trip.
Next time I will try to make it without problems, so I can enjoy the convention even more and won’t have to bother others.

Glad your home. Great to meet you and Puck.
Thanks for sharing.
Sorry for your problems, they are a bother to you, but a learning opportunity for others.

Yes Marc.
It was great to meet you, one of the more "notorious" members of the group. I have followed your GMC adventures and modifications for quite a while. Glad you made it home without further serious incident. Kathy and I caught back up to you Sunday morning at the rest stop just inside the NM state line. We were pulling in for a 'rest' stop and I said, "there's a GMC...It's Hogenboom's" I parked a couple of trucks over from you and walked over, but your curtains were still closed and there were no lights on (it was just getting light), so I didn't want to bother you.
Keep in touch!

Marc,
Glad to hear you, Puck, Lott, and ??? made it home with "minimal" drama!
I'll bet you'll have a permanent fix for the oil dipstick shortly.
Looking forward to seeing you at the Amana Colonies Convention the end of
September.
Regards,
Rob M.
PS - remind me what the pup's name was again.
