Got home last night after attending my first convention in Shawnee.
Let me first and foremost thank all of the folks that worked so hard to make this a great convention. The Information from the many Tech sessions was invaluable. The food and ICE CREAM socials were awesome, as was the entertainment. The two open coach days were a time to learn about how others solved an issue or updated their coach. Thank you all!
My drive to there was hampered by snow on Highway 58 and on the way home by a strong headwind most of the way. BUT, no breakdown and no hassle with any parts means a great drive.
I also want to thank all the GMC'ers I met and their hospitality. I will try and make it to more conventions in the future.

How was the fuel economy with the headwind?

Glad to see that you arrived home safely. We got home about 3
yesterday afternoon. Had a tank of bad gas in Oklahoma and it slowed
us up on Saturday.

The "Fuel economy" was almost non-existing going up to the Flagstaff hills with the head winds and I still had to push the throttle going down hill. I also noted the gas in TX did not seem to make it run any better, even-so the price was higher than OK.
John, it was nice to see your coach. I am envious of some of the neat details that were build into it. Im will copy some things in due time. sorry to hear about your issue with the bad gas, I guess I was lucky this trip. Thank you for showing me your great coach.

When I lived in Michigan, I took great pride in measuring my fuel economy and with my 403, could normally get in the 10 to 11 mpg range. When I move the coach to AZ, I had high head winds the entire trip and got about 6.5. Now, I drive up hill at WOT and downhill in 2cnd or sometimes evn 1st. Needless to say I have totally given up on checking fuel economy, but I suspect it is dreadfull.
