I'm getting ready to drop the waste tank. I've waited all winter since I got the Palm Beach last fall, to fill it up and test the pump, water lines, and waste. Wouldn't you know all the easy stuff works fine, but there's a nice slow drip coming out between the dump valve and the tank. Here's some pics: http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/photos/showphoto.php?photo=43581&title=waste-outlet&cat=all
It looks like it has a nice bead of door and window caulk all around it, and the caulking cracked, and that's where the leak is coming from. I can see the sending unit looks on the verge to crumble, too.
The good thing, is that this coach hasn't had fresh waste in it in a few years, so getting dreaded shower won't be a problem. I put a few gallons of fresh water in it to test.
I've read a couple threads on the valve and this problem before. I also have a macerator that came with the coach, along with a variety of hoses that looks like the PO was using the macerator with a twist lock adapter pump out tank through the normal dump line. That's a too "hands on" for me, , so I'll use this opportunity to do a dual outlet.
Any advice or lessons learned are welcome. Thanks.
