Went to deflate my airbags today to remove the rear wheels, and they would not deflate. Finally loosened the fittings and emptied them manually. Late 77 model. Any ideas? Thanks.

So you probably have the Electrolevel 1 which has 6 solenoid valves. The manuals are on line, but it sounds like the dump valves aren't opening. Since neither side lowers it probably has something t do with a power lead. Does the system work in the up position? Make sure your switches are set correctly--the front and rear switches down and the center switch up.

Not sure what system you have but my 76 ex-PB has the Electrolevel.
I could not let air out of my bags with the front panel controls.

When Sully installed the Sully Bag system on my coach at Shawnee,
he told me that sometimes the manual switches get intermittent,
likely from non-use) and working them a bunch will sometimes free
them up. I will also try some non-contaminating contact spray
cleaner on them if the first method doesn't bring positive results.

Mac,

Those 3 Electro-Level switches are very easy to disassemble, clean, and
reassemble. Just the regular old routine of bending back some tabs and
later re-seating them. I think Emery has a photo album of the process.

That would be FAR more effective than trying to clean them without
disassembly.

Some years back I replaced mine with some I found at the electronics supply house that had red & blue LEDs in them. They are 3 position rocker switches. Looks way cooler than the originals.

Late 77... Electro Level... switches.

From time to time I have found myself wondering why the bags where not deflating only to find the center switch in travel.

Try cleaning the connections on the height control switches with Crc 2-26 as well as inside the switch best as possible(spray into the back) toggle them back and forth then blow out excess. One side on mine was inoperable and this worked. If not the switch it could be the solenoid that opens to bleed the bag down. Hope this helps

You symptom is almost always the switches. They come apart easily. Clean and reassemble them.
