I've been shopping in two towns just east of Oklahoma
City with the following results. I didn't go everywhere,
but hit NAPA, Advance Auto, and O'Reilly's.
NAPA has ONLY Gates belts, named and "economy" version.
All measured are 10 or less mm in width. Judging from
this I believe that NAPA can and should be crossed off
the GMCMI Parts Interchange Index until such time as
evidence proves that acceptable belts were available
from NAPA.
Advance Auto had one in stock, but price was about $16
for one of them and $12 for another. They were also on
the narrow side and one would have to be ordered sight
unseen with a minimum delivery of 5 days.
Next stop was O'Reilly's, probably central US only since
I think they are headquartered somewhere in Missouri.
I measured them at home with a Stanley caliper. I have
shown the "inch" measurements and metric conversions.
7450 by MasterPro was measured at 27/64" or 10.7 mm.
7570 by Armor Mark was measured at 27/64" or 10.7 mm.
7619 by Armor Mark was measured at 55/128" or - 10.9 mm.
I had a 10/11 mm double open end wrench with me. None
of the above belts would fit into the 10 mm end and
there is just a little extra space space when using
the 11 mm end as a gauge. I hope they will be okay.
None of the places I went to had knowledge of a source
for Goodyear belts.
These three cost me $4.92 each with a "list" of $8.46.
O'Reilly's also gives a discount for military, and I
don't know exactly what the two discounts are. In any
event, it's a pretty good price!
