The water valves were there from the factory. No vacuum signal is open (heat) and vacuum closes the valve for AC in the cold or Rec position. There are several varients of these GM/aftermarket used in brass or plastic and any should work. It is positioned by the hose cut lengths and can be tucked in a little neater when you change the hoses. Also those clamps are too big a number size and buy the ones with the extended tang so the the hose rubber doesn't extrude out through the spiral threads. I glanced at www.appliedGMC.com and didn't see them but I'm sure Jim K has them or try www.gmcmotorhomeparts.com at Gateway.

I think that is also one that some have replaced with a plain old , hand operated shut-off valve so they could control when they wanted to control when they wanted hot water to be able to enter the interior heater.
