You are correct. I did take Mark Gs concept and after constructing it to his dimensions changed it. I do not know why what you have built causes the air spring to contort over the mounting plate as you describe. I have not witnessed that phenomenon with my current design. Do you have any photos? Are you using Firestone bags?

I thought you redesigned the original Mark bag system with wider plates and reorient the fittings for protectionin inside the bolt bracket.
