When I drive the 100 miles back to my other home in Pittsboro, NC, I always
check on Craig's List to see what may be for sale near the route. Today I
found a 6.0 Power Drawer without the drawer, but the front cover with 6.0
on it is with it, no starter, and a box of parts and mounts. I also have a
4.0 Power Dawer that is complete.
I found the 6.0 Operator's Manual and Parts Catalog on line and printed it
out, but I did not find the similar 4.0 Document. What I really need to
know is which parts are interchangeable. Are the drawers interchangeable?
Are the control panels interchangeable? How similar are the engines. I
will not be back to my shop where the 4.0 is until next week.
Does anyone know where I can find a 4.0 Operator's and Parts manual on the
Internet?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Henry,
For a manual:http://www.bdub.net/manuals/index.html
There is very little that is common between the BF (4.0) and NH (6.0) Onans.
But if you are willing to bring them to a rally, Ken Burton would like a non-cracked flywheel and I know someone that needs a field.

I am too far from the rally, but if your friends need these parts for a
6.0, tell them to give me a call. I think I am going to try to get the 4.0
running. You are right -- similarities seem to be minor.

Thanks, George, for your generous offer. I am in Atlanta frequently as my
son, Dr. Henry Blair III, is an oral surgeon with Atlanta Oral and Facial
Surgery. I lived in Atlanta from 1987 to 2010. I will gladly take the
parts to you in Atlanta if there is any interest. Pictures will be
available soon.
I just looked up Bean Station, TN, and saw that it is only about 5 hours
from Bethune. When is the event, and how large is it. In the next year I
plan to buy a GMC motor home. I will want restored to a high level as I
have found that buying one like that gets the restoration for pennies on
the dollar. If there will be a number of motor homes there, i may go for
the education.
