Hello, looking into using digital gauges in the GMC in place of the lp, water tank gauges etc. I know that gas gauges work in different resistance values for example. If the resistance of the gauges match the OEM ones then i can replace them with new digital gauges.

cheers and beers

Jim Bounds carries a nice little digital gauge setup that replaces the original setup quite nicely, and is reasonably priced.

The senders operate from 0 to 90 ohms.
Is that what you mean?

Hello,
Yes i wanted the resistance values of all the senders.
Are all the senders 90 Ohms, the water tank, the black water tank and the LP gas. My idea was to use digital gauges, of the type used for gas tanks.I believe they can work at 90 Ohms, so would be a direct replacment, plus they would look rather nice. Smile

Steve,
To expand/clarify.
0-90 is the range for the senders on my water and holding tank sensors. I do not know about the propane.
My coach is an early 73 -- so there could be some difference in later coaches.

Hello, ok so if the digital gauges can work on 0-90 ohm senders and the LP tank sender is also 0-90 ohms then they would replace the older analog gauges on the refer cabinet. The digital gauges i have seen go from 0-99, 99 being full of course.... !!!

I was toying with the idea of a new display on the refer cabinet, the OEM ones have basically worn out on my coach.

cheers and beers

What are you thinking of using, vendor, make, model. Most of the 0-99 ones I have found have been kind of pricey to put 3 of them to use for the monitor panel vs buying one from JimB.

Oh, I did check my 73 coach propane sender and it is marked 0-90 ohms.
But, I thought the more common problem was the sending units, water, waste water and such -- not the gauges.

Here is JimB's panel and sender solution....

Hello,
Well yes, using digital gauges as opposed to the "ready to go" model , is more expensive. I am looking for a different look, also want to get dash upgraded in time, to use the same the type of digital gauges, so it would match nicely. Had to make sure that the gauges would match the senders, so thanks for info guys Smile

cheers and beers
