I'm taking on the water pump issue, stuck on step one. Removing the seat,
I took out the two screws and lifted "up and out" as the manual
directed....will not come out, maybe a two man job?

Nancy...should be straight forward...maby it's binding on itself, or perhaps a PO put additional screws in somwhere. Do what you can to look for anything that may have been add to hold things down. Feel around if nessasary. once you are satisfied that there are no additional hold downs, use a crow bar as a leaver and "gentley" pry up. It should come out.

I eventualy got tired of converting table to bed and back...built an aluminum frame system for a "permanent" bed that lifts to give extra storage. The whole thing can be removed, should I need to get to the white water tank or the pump assembly.

Nancy, the front is secured by the screws and the rear slides under a bracket. If you lift slightly on the front you should then be able to pull it towards you and slide it out of the bracket in back. The bench units are heavier than you might think, so try getting some assistance if needed.

Thanks for the diagram, yes the PO did put two screws in the rear bracket.
I don't know how he did it, I'm having a hard time getting them out. I
just hope I don't need to put them back in, we like the settee situation,
so fixed bed won't work, we are trying to restore to as visually 1977 as
possible.

Thanks again Nancy M

Nancy,
Since you mentioned restoring to as original in appearance as possible, you might enjoy John Harper's photo albums. Lots of original details and how- to's.
John has been gone now for a couple oy years -- he left us a nice legacy.

There is probably a reason the PO went to the trouble to add acrews. Loose, rattling etc

compare Camping World to Northern if you need a pump.
