I used my newly constructed Steve Southworth wooden jack stands for the first time today and I felt safe even with all 4 corners up on gravel and dirt. Here is the link to the photo site: http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/photos/showgallery.php?cat=6041
and here is my writeup at my site:

I made up a pair to replace my outer cv boots and right front bearing.
They are really great to use, very sturdy.

No problem with you sharing the spreadsheet on your website. I'll have to find out if I can upload it to the photo-site similar to how PDF uploads are done.

When jacking up a GMC I believe the rear should be done first. Then the "tipping" forces from doing each rear side one at a time can be absorbed by the front suspension. If the front is put on the jackstands first it is now rigid and cannot flex on the suspension so now the body tries to twist. This has, on occasion, cracked front windshields. Others may be able to explain this better.

Technically one jackstand can support the entire coach. The only problem is where to put it and the obvious stability problems that would occur. <GRIN>
