I need a little help, I have just a few things to finish up before
I can start up my 77 GMC chassis restoration. One being wiring
my carter fuel pump through the new oil pressure switch I got from
Jim K. The switch has 3 terminals, I assume one to the pump, one
to the starter , and one to the the ignition side of key switch. OK
where is the best location to hook up to, and which terminal goes
where. there is no continuity between any of the terminals on the
pressure switch. thanks for your thoughts.

There should be 3 terminals. It depends on what brand switch you have but some are labeled P, S, and I (I believe). They go to the Pump, Starter, and Ignition.

You most have continuity between P and S without the engine running or you have a bad switch.

With the engine running and the oil pressure up you must have continuity between P and I or the switch is bad.

On a coach with HEI, which you should have on a 1977 coach, a good place to attach the S lead to is the spare small terminal on the starter solenoid. A good place to get the ignition source is the HEI +12 power to the distributor. Both the distributor and the pump draw less than 1.5 amps each so the existing GMC wiring is more than adequate at both of those locations.

I just realized that you are on email so you do not get posting updates so here it the update I added to the previous posting:

Most switches have N.O for normally open, N.C for normally closed and C for common. Fuel pump positive is fed off common. N.C is fed from the start terminal and N.O is fed ignition power.
