Most of my Power Module I've been working on is now in place and it's time to add fluids.
I purchased a new 3.70'limited slip Diff from Applied. Jim did tell me what I needed to fill it, but now I want to be sure I remember correctly. [I have a mind like a steel trap - "Rusted Shut" (grin) ] it's interesting that with my search of the many discussions on the upgraded diffs, the actual lube oil was not identified.
This a fresh new unit and it will need breaking in and I will need to keep warrantee specs satisfied. I believe that I should fill it with extreme pressure 80W-90 gear oil with no additives for the limited slip. Then drain after 3000 miles. I also understand that the refill should be with synthetic 80W-90 and no additives.
Looking for (at least) a few confirmations or corrections from those of you who have one yourself please.

You can run any kind of rear end lub.
Unlike other outfits, we know grease will not make much difference to
wear so we have no hassle warranty and you will inform others and we
sell more and that is how we have sold over3,000 final drives.

Thanks a million for the confirmation of your support after purchasing one of your products!!
I intended to call you directly. But I have been working in a leased building and using my cell phone from there would have been an international long distance call during prime time. Very expensive indeed.
I have seen diffs and manual transmissions being filled with dexron II in the past and I wanted to be sure I would do what my gut told me.
I see that the slip limiting technology that final drive uses is pressure exerted on the side gears by metal friction blocks and springs. Clutch types of Limited slip technology would use friction modifiers in the lube. This one therefore would not need modifiers.
I'm assuming that everyone is then simply using the standard EP 80W-90. Glad to hear that.
