Doing the repaint on my 26', have seen some photos over the years of nice treatments for replacing the moulding (rubrail) down the center. I see that Jim K. has a kit, but anything else anyone has done that might be a little more attractive?

Also, the strips under the moulding, do they all come off or only the ones with screws (side door, fender, rear panel)?

Thanks.

I think JimB replaces the metal strip with an aluminum extrusion, then applies a rubber rubrail over the new metal.

I believe that both vendors provide a kit that is already precut for the side marker lights. If doing a reprint, I think this is money well spent to update the looks of the coach.

Gary;
Did you do it all in one long piece?
Or, is there joints somewhere?

What year is your coach--there are two different types of molding constructions.

Yes, there is 1 joint on each side, but very hard to see. I butted them with
silver silicone which nicely match the color of the powdercoating.

Thanks

Sorry, it's a late (july) 77.

You have the stick on type that is more easily replaced than the earlier type. One of our local automotive paint stores has rolls of various replacement types with all black, all silver, black and silver, ribbed, smooth, you name it. I suspect most major cities will have similar selections.

Bigreen,

This might be of interest to you. I have seen a coach with molding from this company. It looked good.
