Manny, I heard a rumor that all the food at the upcoming Casa de Fruta rally is being prepared by your crew. Also heard we will leave that rally having to adjust front ride height to compensate for said food.??

Thanks

We are going to be weighing coaches with our newly constructed by Frank Condos (thanks to Carl P's suggestion of a kit) vehicle scales. Maybe we could weigh in and out of the rally?

A while ago I asked for suggestions on where to get scales at a reasonable price. Carl P. provided a link to a company with a kit for making them http://palletscales.net/scale_kits.htm. We, GMCWS, bought a kit and Frank has made some scales with them.

The link only works if you delete the period at the end.
Where are the pictures of the scales Frank made with the kit?

Well, that helps a little. But stimulates lots more questions:

How many wheels weighted at a time?

Photos?

Drawings?

Accuracy?

Equipment weight?

Total cost?

Somebody do us a complete write up, please.

The first people to see and use them will be at the GMCWS rally at Casa de Fruta April 24 - 29. I am sure that Frank will have some info for everyone after that and we will have some photos too.

Ken, I plan on being at the Rally site on the preceeding Saturday. The 21st
of April. I will have both my digital still cameras as well as my video
camera to document the weigh in and bearing temperature proceedures at
arrival by the coaches. We hope to be set up so that the owners will have
the option of weigh in at arrival or later. The weigh in will be
accompanied by ride height measurement as well as alignment checks. The
technical seminars (weather permitting) will be as much hands on as
possible. Should be a heck of a rally. Good tech, Manny food and wines,
Steinbeck tours, really looking forward to this one.

Sounds like a great rally. Sorry I can't just run over for it. :-)

At least I can look forward to the reports.
