Oh wow, I just got a taste of one of the chilli's that will be in the cookoff. It will be hard to beat, but I want everyone to try real hard. Next best thing to the ice cream socials.
We are rolling west a week from Thursday. Hope to see everyone at the cookoff.
Dan

I am sure there must be some noise coming through the 1/4 in glass but we don't notice it. Can talk in normal tones as we travel, since moving the muffler to the rear. My rubber seal on the lid is worn out and lets some noise in. I need to find a new one. I like the big glass area and don't guess I would change it. Wally has a two piece glass engine cover that looks really nice. Not for everyone but it sure gives me piece of mind while traveling. Saved at least one fire and/or blown engine. Also saved a wiring harness, that came loose from over the fan shroud and was shooting blue flames.
Dan,
who can't wait for the chilli cook off

A week from Thursday!!! Darn, is it THAT soon??? Sounds tooo soon
when you say it that way. We just got the Cad bolted back in today!
No, not running -- just bolted in & not much more. I'll have a full
day tomorrow doing wiring & plumbing. With the exhaust changes I need
to make, I may not even get to start it up before Tuesday.

Since we're scheduled to BE there a "week from Thursday", that means
we should leave here a week from TUESDAY -- from TOMORROW! Wow!
I'dbetter get busy.

Y'All don't expect that alignment seminar Kim talked me into to be
more than extemporaneous. I'll need lots of audience experts' inputs
if it's to be much more than "Y'All make sure the wheels all point
straight ahead."

Can't wait to see you Ken. Hope you bring pictures of the 500 drop out and re install.
If I can't figure out why my Rostra quit after Goshen I need you to help me with it.

I have not installed a Rostra, but I have been messing with cruise controls and might be able to help.

I have a 'spiffycar' type junkyard CC (GM/Delphi) installed and I am bringing my "test rig" with me. It makes a good 'show and tell' display for a cheap, useful modification that ALMOST any of us could do.

Great Mike, thanks. I hope to run the diagnostics on it this week to see if I can figure it out. I checked the brake switch wiring today and that is in tact. Both fuses are good.
Will be good to meet you in person since we have never been able to hook up when I am in the Portland area. Have traveled right by Hillsboro many times heading to Tilamook and back.
Safe travels and keep us posted as you travel. See you next week.
Dan
