Since this is my first convention, I have a few questions.

1. I will be there on Wednesday early evening so I am going to miss the swap meet. I am still bringing my Dad's Brake Buddy for sale. I guess that is not a question.

2. What is the eating situation. Is there a food building for meals, or are we basically on our own for sustinence (other than the "catered dinner")? (Yes, I am missing the Chili Cookoff as well.

3. I hope to come away with my cruise control at least diagnosed. Is that possible?

Thanks. I am looking forward to this.

Larry

Is there anyone else from your area going that could bring it earlier? If not then you can announce that you have one for sale and even post it on the bulletin board in the "for sale" section.

There will be a breakfast ever morning. Bagles, muffins, donuts toaster waffles, fruit, juice, coffee, tea, etc. Once in a while we have pancakes or other things. You won't go away hungry.

We can get some fellows to look at it for you. Just ask around. See me and I can look at it or get some others to also look at it.

Looking forward to meeting you after all these years.

Larry, Teri won't let any guys, without their wives with them, starve to death at a convention. If you don't have a place to eat just hang around our coach at lunch or supper time. I think most folks go out for supper when we are not catered to.
Put a note on the swapfest board if you have something to sell. Just put your name and the parking number of your space, or cell #.
All the men at the conventions are mechanics, except me. Grab one, like Emery, and have him look at your cruise. I promise you will know why it is not working before you drive home.
Put away any fears you might have. Absolute fun at the conventions.
See you there,
Dan

Larry,

Dan is correct re starving, however, for a NON-mechanic he does a damn good
job keeping his GMC and VW towd going.

As far as the cruise control goes he is also correct and when you find out
what's wrong with it remember the GMCer's mantra:

IT'S DAN'S FAULT! ;-)

Rob M.

Larry,

We'll be rolling through St. Louis, Lebanon, Springfield, Joplin and all
points west on our way from Louisville to Shawnee. If we can arrange it,
we could meet and I take the Brake Buddy to the convention for the swap
meet. Best thing is that I wouldn't charge a big fee.

We're heading out on Thursday after I do a shift in the writing lab at the
college where I teach. We plan to overnight just before crossing the
Mississippi. That means on Friday around the middle of the day we could be
in Springfield. Actually, I'd like to stop by Colaw's and look for a few
things.

Sorry you'll miss Martha's special recipe pancake breakfast on Tuesday
morning.

Be sure and check with Kim on a rate for your period of time.
